Well, it certainly wasn't the mission I had been expecting when the call for security volunteers went out. Here I was all ready to see some real action, armed to the teeth! Well, not really but still... but I guess every mission is important in some way, but to just stand around while the big wigs chatted seemed a little ... well boring would not be an apt description. It was nerve wracking, and I was on high alert the entire time, watching the 'talks' and standing guard over the 'captain' and Commander Warren. Constantly watching the Romulan operatives for any sign of hostility.


Funny how the passage of time can feel both fast and slow at the same time. It felt like I was just standing there for hours on end, and yet it seemed as if no time had passed at all, or not much had before we got recalled back to the Hawkeye. I just hope that whatever the real mission was, it was successful.

I was almost saddened to return my equipment back to the armory without getting to fire it once. Although I guess if weapons were fired during a diplomatic mission that would definitely be considered a failed mission. My mission task was simple, protect them at all costs. To that end, I would say it ended up very successful since they both came back on their own two feet, and not injured.

Whatever the outcome of this little tet e tet with the Romulan Inteligence Branch, I don't look forward to dealing with them again.
